Gandahati Waterfall distance from Paralakhemundi
Gandahati Waterfall is a brilliant waterfall that lies in Gajapati District of Odisha. It is situated at a distance of 30 km from the District headquarters town i.e. Paralakhemundi. Either by train or by bus, it has to go through Paralakhemundi because there are no direct trains or buses to reach the waterfall. Palasa is a station which connects Eastern Zone with the Southern zone through railways. From Palasa, it is about 45 km to reach Paralakhemundi and from there many vehicles can be booked to reach the falls.
Gandahati Waterfalls is well known for its perennial water flow. The water falls from an unknown source through the mountain. It is situated in a dense green forest. Many small villages and a huge university campus lie on the way to the falls. There are diverging roads to confuse the non-localites to reach the falls. Therefore, many new Signboards are kept to reach it without any confusion. Gandahati Waterfall always has a huge rush of visitors during rainy and winter seasons. The water, green forest cover and different seasonal birds make everyone’s mind peaceful and happy. This place is perfect and economics friendly to all types of classes. The wooden bridge, small garden, huge rocks and falls over it are beautiful places for photography.

Different plant and animal species are found in this area which are rare to been in this urban world. A Hindu temple is present near the fall which looks dark until and unless you go near it. Now-a-days measures are taken to develop it overall.
